Hooker or Pacesetter LT's?

Which one is better? I have narrowed it down to those 2 choices.

I am happy with my pacesetters.

i had the hookers. and i have pacesetters awaiting to go in. im sure the design is slightly different, but the quality as in the coatings seems the same to me. sure u cant go wrong with either. both are proven performers.

What about the Jet hot headers? SSautochrome(ebay) headers?

This is the exhaust section. :)

Anyway. I have hookers on my Z28. They are okay....I would have rather picked up the coated pacesetters for what I paid for uncoated hookers.

love my pacesetters and their price!!!

matt94z Mar 6, 2007 08:37 AM

I have hookers and love them. Easiest header I have ever installed and great gains.

Urban Legend Mar 6, 2007 08:42 AM

My ceramic coated Hooker headers have served me well. Going on 2 years with them.

sickws698 Mar 6, 2007 08:53 AM

my hookers tuck up so m uch that the top of the flange hits the floor board:)

Torque_Wrench Mar 6, 2007 10:11 AM

Pacesetters = more affordable, great quality

Hooker = more expensive, same quality (paying for the Name)

In my opinion, if you're not going to dish out the cash for stainless headers, you might as well go with the Pacesetters. Cheap, proven performers, good fit...you can't really go wrong with them.

black01_WS6 Mar 6, 2007 10:35 AM

pacesetters all the way, if you buy the hookers you are throwing away money, as the pacesetters do the same thing and are cheaper.

Maryland speed has pace lt and they jet hot coat them inside!! and outside!!,with a good warranty. Not that bad in price either, gonna installem this weekend!!

The Hookers, Pacesetters and Jet-Hot are pretty much the same design (Hooker initiated). You can't go wrong with either. I have Jet-Hot coated Hooker LTs on my 2001 Camaro SS since about mid-2002. There are still going strong and no leaks. I have Pacesetter headers on my truck, quality is the same as Hooker. Purchase what ever you are comfortable with, you will be happy either way. :)

Let it be said that the pacesetters, while still a great header, are only 1 5/8 primaries, unlike the hookers which are 1 3/4.

In my opinion if your not spending the money on some QTPs then go pacesetters.Ive had them and loved them and my friend right now has them on his 475rwhp car and also loves them
