My new engine/h/c setup is insanely loud with my duals. I will probably be switching from my old dumped spiral flow duals to a flowmaster one chamber out the back setup.

thanks alot for all the replys guys, but it may seem a bit too much for me running a dumped 3" xpipe..so im looking more for TSP Y (no cats)
and hooker 3" aero chamber catback with dual tips.

found the hooker catback for 339$ with free shipping..sounds like a good deal? also any comments on power, fitment and sound on this setup?

actually the meaner and louder the better, but i want to be able to have a conversation with my girlfriend in the car without us yelling at each other just to talk you know. I used to have a real loud exhaust on another car and it was madness..dont want the same thing again.

that burnout vid, i think the lt,ory and hooker catbak actually sounds pretty decent.hmmm...my car is pretty much stock except for a filter/lid, will it yield alot more power with td's?

it does sound good.. you just cant really hear it much at idle but unless you have a lot of mods its not going to get you much more hp or tq going from ory hooker to true duals.. i remember someone one here saying they gained like 1 or 2 hp at like 5800 rpms which is absolutely nothing.. that was going to tsps with sweet thunders on a bolt on motor..

now if you had heads/cam you would see a bigger gain..

if you get them from tsp, sometimes they have sales and its 299$.. if you contact a tsp rep on here they might give you that price.. the fitment is good but i dont like the tips, i think theyre thin, but on a camaro they wouldnt look too bad.. I use to have a loudmouth, and also a random tech catback, both of those fit better but by no means not a reason not to buy the hooker catback..

if youre looking for something quiet at idle, cruising, and on the highway but loud at open throttle without drone.. then youll want the hooker.. ill post another video tomorrow or later on tonight....

def. talk to tsp about the $299 price.. also if their duals are on back order, and take into account for the price of the hooker catback and the tsp y pipe, its about the same as the duals... oh btw, hooker catback is aluminized steel, duals are stainless.

i got quoted 1200 bucks to run NON stainless pipe out the back UNDER the axle, if i bring my own mufflers, x pipe and tips. they would do the rest...........i dont have good knee pads, mine are all worn out, so i left, without duals.

that is A RIP OFF price. holy shiznit. I could see 1200 if it was cut/spliced mandrel bent pipe OVER the axle setup WITH everything included.

on a dif. note, my true duals with dumped bullets only had drone when I was driving through neighborhoods VERY slowly looking at houses for sale. that was around 12-1400rpms though. once it hit 2000 rpm it was an excellent sound. actually, i had auto and 3:73 gears, and cruise on the freeway it was VERY quiet. it was weird. over 3500 and it sounded like a race car. idle was wicked deep too. overall I loved my dumped true duals, but if it was my daily driver, and I got in bumper to bumper traffic regularly, I would go catback.

do you realize there is an alternitive though? 3.5 or 4" single setups? I installed a 4" single out the back setup and it sounded EXCELLENT! and it gave up almost no ground clearance over the normal catback. it was on an extremely lowered car (roadrace car) and it was closest to the ground at the ypipe. everything else was like stock clearance.

I want to go true duals for my LT1 car but mainly to save money over the 4" single. havent decided yet which way to go.
