Default LS1 swap conversion

How's everyone doing? I'm new to the LS1 world as I have one sitting on an engine stand waiting to go into my car. I've been on f-bodyhideout.com and fbody.com for a while. Anyway, I have a couple questions on making it fit...
Do i need to get a K-member out of an LS1 car or will mine be alright if i use LS1 motor mounts?
I have a 96 T/A with a T-56, will my tranny bolt right up or do i have to get a new bellhousing, tranny, or what?
Will long tube headers for the LS1 clear the body, or was that something that was changed?
Will my radiator work?
I want to put a strut tower brace, do I buy one for a LT1 or LS1? I'm concerned about clearance.

Thanks,
Wayne

You will need an LS1 kmember if putting an LS1 into an LT1 fbody. You will also need an LS1 rack. Your LT1 T56 can be reused, but you will have to change the bellhousing, front plate and input shaft. LT's will work, but you will need LS1 LTs as the heads are different. Clearance isnt an issue. Radiator will work. I have heard that the SLp LS1 radiators are actually LT1 radiators. strut tower brace will be the same for LT1's and LS1s.

They're the same. The spindles are different for 93-97 and 98-02 if you are planning on upgrading to LS1 brakes. but upper and lower A arms are the same between the years.
