Remove a V-Clamp? Help!

Remove a V-Clamp? Help! Fixing to take the off-road pipes off and put my high flow cats on, but I've never dealt with these v-clamps before. Is there a trick to get them off? What to you guys recommend? Would be easier if I had put them on... I'd just try the reverse..... but this is a new car, and it has these on:

Your gonna laugh at how easy this is. Take a flathead screwdriver, stick it in the gaps between the clamp and the pipe, and pop the clamp off. The clamp has three sections to it. Just pop off all three and the clamp will rotate freely. EASY!!!

Ha! Kewl.. got them off and my cats in. Good to go now except a minor exhaust leak. Is there some sort of spray on something to help with this? I read something about some kind of silicone.. I know that's vague.. but... anyone know what that stuff is called?
