how much HP? im sure its been asked but how much HP do the free mods usually add? the ones i am talking about are the smooth bellows, bypass the throtel body heater lines, port and polish mas air flow?

The heater lines are probally 1-3 HP
DONT TOUCH the mass air flow it will only cause problems
but if you P&P the TB it will give you around 10 HP and better throtle response

There's an article about all the "free mods" on gmhightechperformance.com. Check it out; there was a little Hp gain shom from test they ran.

hey thanks guys iwas thinking of doing the hairdryer mod soon any way!! any tips on putting it in?? lol o i think i am going with a set of stick on flames to ive heard they add like 5HP per flame!!

it seems to be running fine it had a funny sound but i ran some sea foam through it ( that was another members solution in another thread) and it cleared right up it is running good now and no weird sounds but you got me a lil worried now i dont have a A/F guage so dont know how its runing what kinda signs should i look out for?

a friend of mine had a granatelli maf (looked like a descreened gm maf)....he was having problems so he put the stock one back in and the car ran 100times better. thats just one case though, im sure some people have had good experiences with them...
