Service Engine SOON Light??
Service Engine SOON Light?? Ok I just had my tb ported and polished and left if off my car for a week and when I put it back on my car does not idle like it used to.. if I give it gas it almost shuts off after the rpms come back down, plus service engine soon light comes one... not sure of the error code yet but will find out.. but just seeing if anybody know whats the problem, also double check my work and everything is hooked up???
The code would help, if you take it by any parts store (advanced or autozone they will read it for free) but it kinda sounds like a vacumm leak to me, my car did the same thing after I installed my headers and forgot the hook the EGR up all the way
I'm need to go to auto zone to find the codes but thought maybe i could have forgotten to plug something in or maybe needs to warm up longer because awhile back after take some stuff off it ran like crap and after awhile warmed and and ran better.
ya its probably I didnt put the throttle body on right because I was in a hurry and it does make a weird noise now... just thought I would get a quick feedback so I can fix it tonight in the dark, thanks.
mine did the same you prob just have a leak tighten the 3 bolts again. Don't over due it I snapped my bolt that way. Get it on there snug and do another 1/4 turn. that should fix your idle and ses light.
ya its probably that I freakn rushed it since my 3 hour lunch from work was approaching... didnt want to get into trouble since its only suppose to be 1 hour lol.. well try tonight and will update... pos... but i love that car..
