Default Fast intake VS. BBk SSI intake

I was deciding between these two intakes. I was reading the new Dyno-Proven ls1 to ls7 book and it showed that the bbk ssi intake made more power than the FAST intake. Was wondering what you guys would say the bbk is cheaper but sounds like some people are saying it holds heat since it is alumanum. Let me know thanks.

The heat is much debated here, but what I don't like is the weight. It adds a noticable amount to the front end of a Vette and I have struggled to get weight off the car.
