Does any body no how to take off the air intake lid on an SS hood its the plastic piece on the hood I want to take off to paint it with soem chrome paint.

if you mean the airbox lid its jsut 2 clamps

I mean the plastic piece on the ram air scoop. Not the air lid. It is the plastic piece located in the ram air scoop its self and I was wondering how u can take it off

Don't know how to take that piece out, but that "chrome" spraypaint doesn't work worth a ****. It looks nice right after it's done, but anything will screw it up. Some metallic silver Krylon Fusion or something would work better.

ohhhhh you mean the black screen thing in it. it just pulls out, get some wire and loop it through some of the holes and pull it out

they are held in by 2 hex screws EDIT; thatw as for the trans am...sorry

yeh, the SS scoop thing should pop out somehow...
