Since these are made out of plastic, would it be terriably difficult port these by yourself? I understand that it might not be AS efficient, but as long as you don't go too deep and wear down the walls, should it be ok? (Looking at it from a VERY tight budget perspective)

Anyone can smooth out the transitions and remove plastic from one of these intakes. I saw a buddies intake that he sent out to one of the other big names on here and he only paid $200.00 for the port work. Now, if you held up hist intake next to mine (Mamofied), you would see the difference in a second. The shape of the intake port is key and was the most obvious difference. My intake looked like it could have come from the factory that way (almost cnc port quality). His looked like it got hacked up by a dremel tool. You are paying for a higher level of quality. What does this translate to on a dyno? I don't know.

Awesome that's exactly what I needed to know. Dremel was the route I was thinking actually haha. If there is that big of a difference I will definitely not be doing this myself. Tony's gonna have another costumer soon...

There are certainly lots of pics of ported heads, we need some ported intake pics to go with them.
Joel,
Was the FAST 90 you had on the 99 ported??? I had it apart last week to clean it out and replace all the hardware with stainless... Ive never seen inside of one before, but I couldnt see any place where it looked like it really need work. Looked smooth everywhere to me.

thats why the L92 heads seem like a good deal. THey dont require a 2k intake.
