Valve Train Replacement
Valve Train Replacement i have a stock internal ls1 engine i wanna refreshen the top half of my engine to maybe gain some hp. I just wanna pull the valve covers off and replace what i can from there and maybe if i have to my intake. Is there a kit i can get for my stock heads that fairly cheap and that will increase my hp without spending a ton?
comps are good, but I have a feeling your looking at the harlans, skip over the ls6 springs and go for the 918 comps at least you can later stuff in a decent size cam. all of this and if you get the titanium retainers and the more tool, you;ll have about 500-600 dollars in maybe 10 horsepower, I would look else where for power, save the rockers for when you have nothing left to do
don't waste your time on the stock heads, unless you have functioning problems. The hp vs. dollar cost wouldn't be worth it. You'll spend $600 on rockers and springs, why don't you just wait and do a complete head and cam swap? Just a tip...sit down and decide on your long term goals with the car and then spend your money. If you don't you'll waste a lot of money.
