Default Is it necesssary to replace knock sensor, when swapping to ls6 intake???

Ok so I installed the ls6 intake, and everything wenth smooth besides braking some old hoses and the oil pressure unit, but now I see threads of people that have 98 models needing to replace the knock sensors because they detect false know, so what can i do do prevent false knock besideds changing the knock sensors, since i dont want to change them because my hands are all scratch up, also I didnt put my foam pads under my intake since they were dirty, would it hurt something without them?

You can just get the knock sensors de-sensitized with a tuning software.

that foam has been known to actually cause more problems than it stops. you did good by taking them out.
