Default Lid problem!

I just got my lid today and while i was taking off the OE lid I ran into a problem. I cant figure out how to get the sensor out of it. Can anybody share how they go it out please?

A couple drops of liquid dishwashing soap makes it a lot easier - rinse and dry thoroughly before reinstalling.

the sensor that goes into the air lid just pulls out. It has a rubber gromet in and around it. It might be a little hard to pull out but just give it a strong pull and it should come out. I am pretty sure thats all there is to it. Sorry i can't give you more detail but it shouldnt be a hard deal. Swapping out an airlid shouldnt take more than 1 minute flat.

I used needle nose pliers to clamp the inside end of the grommet in and it just slid right out. Make sure not to tear that grommet if you're gonna reuse the original.

Hair dryer ftw!!! Just pull the sensor out then heat up the plastic around the grommet till it expands enough to get it out. That is prob the most annoying part of a lid install.
