Magnaflow/custom exhaust question
Here's my plan....I love the look of the Corsa exhaust, but I'm a cheap ***, so I went with sound and bought a Magnaflow. What size is the pipe coming out of the muffler? I know the tips are 3.5" but isn't the pipe 2.5"?
If so...I will have a local muffler shop leave the subway tunnel tips off, extend the 2.5" pipe and then weld on the Corsa clone exhaust tips.
do this sound do-able?

It might be 3'' piping because most places say the whole sysyem is 3'' with 3.5'' tips so you might want to call a place (hopefully a sponsor) and ask them to tell you for sure. I dont see why they would make it 3'' to the muffler and then 2.5'' to the 3.5'' tips but I could be wrong. Just call and ask or hopefully someone with a magnaflow system on hear will chime in...

Definitely doable. Confirmed through Magnaflow website. Part #15684, 5.7L V8, Trans-Am/WS-6/Firehawk,rear exit, 3"/2.5" SS tubing, 3.5" slash/p-SS tip.
I have the Hooker part# 16811 , buddy has the Magnaflow above. Side by side the pipe diameter looks the same to the tip. Hooker is 3" to the muffler and 2.5 to the dual 3" tips. Magnaflow is 3" to the muffler, 2.5" to the 3.5" subway tunnels.
turbowhistle86 - do you have any pics/vids of your GN in action?
