Default ? about Y and stock catback

I am ready to order the Pacetter LT's and TSP catted Y combo, and my question is will the Y bolt right up to my stock catback? I already have an e-cutout in the I-pipe and would like to keep it fairly quiet every now and then. Thanks guys.

I'm also considering this setup, but I'm thinking about an ORY and I already have a cutout in the i pipe of the stock catback. What I'm wondering is will the LT's + ORY + cutout setup sound like a LT's + ORY + LM setup? I'm only asking because people say a cutout sounds alot like a LM and i don't want my car to sound like ***.

Thanks.

I think you misunderstood me. I didn't really explain it well. What I meant was...will the LT's with an ORY and the cutout on the stock catback setup sound just as bad with the cutout open as the same setup with a LM catback instead.

I think I got that right...

Haha. Ya caught me.
So do you think the cutout on the stock catback would sound as bad as the LM with that setup?

That is my worries of going with an ORY. I'm just splurging and going with the TSP catted Y to get rid of some of the rase and such. Although I have heard sound clips of ORY and cutout and some don't sound too bad. I have never heard one in real life but I do have a buddy that used to run LT's and an ORY dumped, it wasn't bad at all. Either way would prolly be fine.

I cant say much for the cutout, but i can talk some smack about the TSP catted Y. Mine hangs so low that i can barely clear a coke can ON ITS SIDE!!!...on my drivers side. I've got poly mounts and a bumpstop. If you do go that route the do yourself a huge favor and throw away the u clamps that come with it. Otherwise you'll be in the same boat as me: fighting the bumping and the bad ground clearance...with a lot of work involved in adjusting it to where you want it. Use band clamps. If you were to maybe do the ol' jack and wood trick to crush your y pipe under the cross member then you might get some decent clearance out of it, and not really loose much flow. You will have lots and lots of fun adjusting it though...haha... One little adjustment over here means a lot of adjusting over here and in the middle. In other words its a nightmare.

Heres a trick that i found to be helpfull: Go get maybe three different colored magic markers. When you get the y pipe on the car and you're ready to start adjusting it you can draw a line accross the joint in the y pipe that you're adjusting. This way you can see just how much the pipe has actually moved...and you can see if you're adjusting it in the right direction. Also, if you decide that you want to go back to the first setting all you have to do is match the lines up. Just my $0.02

Just a general statement no kit is perfect, I got a dynatech header kit with Y pipe even that was off a lil, We had to add a section of pipe after the cat to make it work.

So expect a lil tweaking.

Yah, I'm afraid it'll sound like a loudmouth. I want to go the cheapest route but I don't want it to sound like ****. And I've looked on ls1sounds but everyone that has that setup has a cam. Anyone got a clip of LT's + ORY + open cutout?
