Hooker ory
(Flowmaster CatBack)
When I bought the car the previous owner had installed a Flowmaster system. I thought it sounded pretty good before I put the headers and ory on. After that I didnt really like driving the car unless it was w.o.t. or just lofting the rpm around 2k around town. If i were to turn a corner in second gear and punch it the exhasut would make this terrible raspy poppy large hick truck sound.
I hated it!!!!!!!!!!!
After alot of thought and alittle last minute buying regret I ordered a Hooker cat back. I was dead set on ordering Corsa but found out rasp is heavy with this exhast system and my set-up. I have heard corsa on a stock ls1 ss and my god is was awsome!!! So I didnt order the Corsa.
I installed the Hooker and welded it all up nice and tight just like the direction say.
What a awsome difference. When it is idling you can hear it behind the car but all I hear is the engine mechanical noise up by the front doors; flowmaster resonated terrible and let out a real heavy bass sound. When driving around town there is almost ZERO RASP. Between 2000-2300 on half throttle digs there is some rasp but it isnt all that bad. WIde open I thought the flowmaster sounded slightly better but I think the Hooker sound is growing on me. It sound great dont get me wrong. I'm happiest about the driving around town tone it produces. It is so nice and smooth.
I just wanted to share my Hooker story and encourage you all to get this system if you want a economical priced package that sounds good and installs nice.
