It’s a very long (and boring) story as to why I’m asking this, but I’m just curious as to all your thoughts of the end result. So without going into the endless story, I’ll just ask this:
How much power am I giving up with this setup:
#1 setup Stock ’00 cast manifolds, Mufflex 2.5” race pipes (in place of cats), SLP 2.5” Y-pipe, SLP 2OTL catback
Over this set up:
#2 setup SLP LT headers & Y-pipe, Random Tech cats, Flowmaster catback
Other mods to the car include common bolt-ons, stall, built tranny, B1 cam, PCM tuning. How much HP is #1 setup losing over #2?

That’s what I’ve been afraid of. See, I have issues with the current headers on the market for LS1s. I’m not really happy enough with anything I’ve seen yet to spend the money to buy them, so I thought the least I could do in the mean time was to ditch my stock cats, stock Y-pipe, and sh#tty flowing FM catback to free things up a little. I guess it’s still not freed up enough

You may be in for a long, long wait if your not happy with the headers that are available now.
How can you say that when you have no first hand experience. Quit debating the issue and get some Mac's, they're cheap enough. If your not happy with the results, take them off and sell them.
Good luck.

I vote for macs. Awesome power for the money.
I'll have to show you my dyno graph. By the way, your pulley did a good job. Thanks again.

This is a wrong assumption on your part. Just because my current LS1 doesn't have headers does NOT mean that I haven't installed and messed with sets on other LS1s in my club. The reason that I'm not happy with my choices is because of those not so good experances.
I'm interested to see how the Bassani headers turn out for our cars. I'm not interested in Macs really.
Jim, glad to hear the pulley worked out for you
