Torn between exhaust system!!!! Need Help

Default Torn between exhaust system!!!! Need Help

I am in thr market for exhaust systems and neeed a little help. The three companies that I am considering are SLP,TTS and FLP since these are the only ones that offer the whole system. Here go the ros and cons to me of each system.

SLP

Cons
SLP-Equal Lenght
Ground Clearance
ease of installation
oil drain plug blocked
steerign knuckle rubbs in some applications
too many curves afraid of it actually being a restriction(kinda got this from the headers by ed article)

Pros
3" y Pipe so someone claims
Good high flow cats.
Complet bolt on installation kit

FLP

Cons
Some of the rust
Some bang te floor board
2.5" y-pipe
cost more

Pros
Seem to have decent cats
straigter bends
swappable cats
ease of installation.

TTS these are the one i wanted but cant decide

Cons
may be heavy have an 1/2" flange
not to popular dont know why though
cats and y pipe suck
dont now if they hold their own against the SLP and the FLP

Pros

Cheaper
tucks up well under the car
ease of installation

I may have missed some stuff but any suggestion would be appreciated. I need to make a decsion soon since uncle sam is paying for it

I know of some FLPs that have had steering knuckle and oil plug issues too. I think they fixed the oil plug issue though...

SLPs seem better for cars that will stay with a stock cam and shift at 6000 rpm. Good midrange. For top end power with a cam, I would go with FLP or TTS.

I would go MACs <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
Port the primaries, do the collector mod and throw a 3 inch bullet in the pass leg of the Ypipe. Great power and LOW cost <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

what is the collector mod, and why would you only put a bullet in one side of the y-pipe? wouldn't that cause an unbalance between the left and right banks?

TTS Pro's:

-high quality
-nice thick flanges, never leak
-do not bang on the floorboards at WOT.

Con's:
-2.5" y pipe
-Do the cats suck? I"m not convinced either way
-Expensive

I have TTS headers.
