Exhaust/Muffler question....
Exhaust/Muffler question.... Ok, well my current set up is in my sig, and I love it. However, the cops do not. I was pulled over again Saturday night by some ***** cop who probably drove a mini van all his life. I wasn't even doing anything this time, as I almost killed my car in first, second, and fourth gear from shifting so early. Regardless, he still pulled me over. He claims that having rasp in my exhaust is illegal, and that it needs to blend in with the overall sound of the car?? I'm pretty sure if my exhaust wasn't making noise, my car is doesn't make any "natural sound".
Here is the question. Even though I technically have a bullet style race muffler, is there any way I can slap something else on my current setup without having to reinstall the whole cat back? Also, would it still sound badass but not have cops who have their panties all knotted up pulling me over all the time? I know the Hooker and Magnaflow cat backs are decent as far as price go for the whole cat back. I'm looking for cheap here. I guess I don't really care for the sound as long as it is still loud. I don't mind the "rasp" of my current setup at all, but I know I'd like more of a deeper rumble, too. And if thats what it is going to take to keep little piggy away from me, I suppose I can look into it.
Would it be possible to slap a Hooker aero chamber up there without having to buy the whole system? Any other possible suggestions? I appreciate all of your guy's input.
