Bassani LS1 headers...Are they out yet???
Anybody have these yet? Are they even out yet? Any links to anyone who might be selling them?
If anyone does have these, please give a full report on how you like/dislike them. Thanks

You can log onto Bassani.com for info. They told me they have them, but only for the 5.3 liter V8 LS-1 at the current time.
I witnessed dyno results last Saturday.
Before he was at 325hp 330 tq
After was 334hp and 342 tq
I was very impressed with the power they put out.

Was this with or without cats? For the same price as Macs, that gain doesn't seem too impressive IMO. I picked up 15 RWHP with the Macs on my A4 with their restrictive cats in place.
These #'s are also fine tuned with a MAFT.
He gained 15hp by leaning out the A/F before headers.
A lot of people don't go for optimal tune on a stock engine, then put headers on,find out there rich and lean it out with a MAFT.After that is done they claim they gained 25-30hp.
So I think the #'s are very good.
Since you're running an ORP I assume you have no functioning rear O2's, but do you have a feel for whether O2 extensions would be required if one were to run the rear O2's with these headers/Y-pipe?
Thanks
Thunder returned my e-mail a while back. The cats are made by Catco I would recommend getting an ORY and putting RTs or CSs in instead, if you must use cats...

I had a Bassani Xpipe on my 00' GT and the Catco cats are junk. Many of the Mustang guys are going with different manufact. due to this. I wouldn't buy anything with cats from them, but the rest of there stuff is top quality. Seems like they would put respectable cats on there systems instead of what they do.

Those headers are too nice to junk them up with Catco crap
I put in O2 sims and they did not require extensions however, on the passenger side front, I did have to pull the connector from its spot on the frame so it could reach the passenger header. The connector was not overly extended nor did it end up dangling beside the header. I've had no troubles with connectors coming close to the header or burning. No troubles with the SES light so far.
