Question Ls1 Coil Rail

i own a 02 ws6.on the lh coil bank at the rear ther is a bracket that's held
on by a stud and nut. the bracket bends rearward over the valve cover.i got the nut off but i can't move the bracket upward enough to clear the stud.i'm tring to move the coil rail to make putting in new plugs easier.
anybody know how to do this and what is the bracket attached to behind
the v/cover and head???
new to this forum but thanks to many for a lot of info.

You bend it up out of the way. The bracket is bolted to the back of the head.

But you don't need to remove the coil pack to put plugs in.

not the drivers side at least. the passengers side I would.

I think your talking about the air diverter box, on the drivers side. you should be able to get the wires and plus on that side without remove the coil packs. if you have really big arms then like said gently bend that bracket away from the stud, if you want to dare it try getting 15mm wrench on the back and lossen the bolt slightly and slid the bracket straight and it will come out.

When you put them back on just use like 3 bolts on each side instead of all of them.

^^another vote for not using all the bolts.

And if you get LT's, plugs are a breeze. I can get all mine changed in about 30 minutes now. What makes them so hard to get to is the friggin stock exhaust manifolds.
