ASP Pulley question

ASP Pulley question I bought an ASP under drive harmonic balancer pulley for my 2002 LS1 (Z28)
but it has a very high power after market stereo so I was advised to get the alternator OVERDRIVE pulley to acompany the underdrive pulley.
Everything I have read says that the underdrive pully works by reducing alternator and accesory rotation etc.
So do these two pullies cancel each other out for a net of almost zero HP increase?
TR assured me they wouldn't.

Re: ASP Pulley question No, they won't cancel each other out. You'll still have an underdriven crank pulley. This will still allow you to see the benefits of the pulley, such as less rotating mass and quicker revving of the engine. The overdriven alt. pulley will put things back "in check" so that your charging will not be negatively affected by the different crank pulley size. Thunder Racing wouldn't steer you wrong. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
