Y-Pipe or muffler?
Also if the muffer was the way to go what would you recommend?
TIA,
Aaron
My car went 12.07 @ 111 with the stock manifolds, cats & Y-pipe

The decision is, of course, ultimately yours...just my $.02
Thanks again,
Aaron
<strong>Thanks guys, I realy appreciate the feed back. Sounds like great advice. I'll probably go with a cut out and start saving for the cat back system. Mach Go it's funny the system you mentioned is the same one I've been leaning towards. As soon as I scrape up the money I'll be ordering the American Thunder System. So how was the install?
Thanks again,

One was a 2000 Trans Am. It picked up 14RWHP over stock w/cutout closed. Also, with the stock manifolds and cats, the car was not loud at all, in fact, it sounded great.

That run was stock Trans Am exhaust w/cutout open vs. cutout closed. We made three pulls, the first 2 with cutout open, the third with is closed just to see what we'd lose. The third pull dropped from 332 (cutout open) to 318 (cutout closed). Both that car and an '02 Firehawk were dynoed and driven away with the cutout open. They both sounded great and were not really loud at all.

Thanks, Jason
