Default fuel cell vs, gas tank

What is the purpose of a fuel cell over a gas tank?

Default Re: fuel cell vs, gas tank

Fuel Cell = fancy name for gas tank. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Typically, a racing fuel cell has the mounting flange for heavy duty pumps, is built to be as light as possible, and hold barely adequate amounts of fuel while still allowing fuel to be picked up properly by the pump. These are also supposed to be built with more safety in mind than a stock gas tank.
