I just looked at the ASP instruction sheet.. it says "tighten" <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Not sure.. haven't pulled mine. I'll try to look it up tonight in the service manual.

I am helping a friend install a crank and alt pulley today. Can someone tell me how I go about changing the alt pulley? Will is spin when I try to remove and tighten the nut? Does the pulley come right off or do I need a puller on it? I only did the crank pulley on my car.

on the stangs we always used a impact to remove the the alt pulley. The "sudden" hit lossen the nut before the alt had a chance to spin.

Just looked up the ALT pulley TQ specs in the service manual.. nothing. But all the idler pulleys are 37 ftlbs.

Ok you use an impact to remove and install the pulley. If not then when you are at a high load situation then the pulley will spin on the shaft and thus destroy the pulley and the rotor shaft. Also when reinstalling the pulley make sure to run the nut down about half way with your fingers, it is very easy to cross thread the nut on the rotor/pulley.
