Does this sound right? Install price help Turns out the first owner of this car (Im the 2nd) dint know how to install the 2800 stall and the mechanic said used the wrong bolts and screwed the flywheel as wheel causing a pretty severe oil leak from around the rear main seal.
Total cost $1200
Does this sound anywhere near accurate...thats pretty damn steep in my opinion..
not to mention, upon going back to my car to get some books, he had cracked/chipped my front bumper in about 6 places..
I am completly clueless on what to do and now with the bumper needing repair Im heated to say the least!
Any clues on what to do?
(also note this is a 01 SS)

yea. i know exactly what you should do.
1.) force him to pay for the damages he caused
2.) leave the shop and NEVER go back
3.) put that $1200 towards a new tranny. you can get a built one for under $2,000

buy a built tranny w/a stall and sell yours.

I would be in a severe state of kick somebodies *** mode if i were in your shoes. Shop owner needs to cover your damages. If he refuses, THREATEN w/ a lawyer and he will likely back down. And 1200 is waaaayyy out there. Bad shops like that are just terrible.
