Exhaust SIZE question
Well, I want more flow/sound, if I go aftermarket, should I up to a 3.5/4 inch cat back or would decrease the backpressure and lose power in the end?
I yes, lose backpressure/power and I stay with the 3 inch pipe size, why am I changing it in the first place?
Couldn't I in theory, change the muffler to meet my sound specs and leave SLPs work intact?
I'm thinking of adding the QTEC off road Y pipe with the dual cut outs and save the orig. for e-testing and leaving SLP's stainless 3inch intermediate pipe and adding possably a GMMG muffler setup, or corsa.
I heard a corsa on a red WS6 with a cam and it sounded wonderful.
I may heed the advice of others as well and leave the manifolds in place and do like I said, the Y pipe and muffler mod.
What do you guys think about the pipe size relavance though, do I make any logic?
Thanks,
Ryan
3" exhaust for a stock engine is too big. I have 3" all the way back to my muffler but I also have 436 cubes.
