Default Should I take it in or try to do it myself?

I just had my car tuned after getting new gears and cluch, My SES lit up on me while I was putting on miles before the tune. So when I took it back to the shop the guy checks what code it was throwing and it was a "420" something to do with the cat O2 sensor. so he shuts it off, and tells me if it comes on again I should take it in to GM and have them fix it. I'm worried to do so because of the void of my warranty situation. what do you guys think?
All of my bolt-ons are SLP, except for a computer from APE that adjust my Fuel/air mixture. The service guys said that if I bolt it on and it's slp that it's no problem, but I don't know if the computer will change that.(it's hard to see in the engine bay)
And if I shouldn't take it in, how hard is it to change the sensor.
sorry for the long post
TIA

The rule of thumb on warranty stuff is that they have to prove that whatever you did/modified caused the problem. So if whatever the problem is was caused by something that you did then you have a problem, if not then you are okay, but you might have to argue a bit with them, occasionally some GM techs don't like having to work on modded cars and will try to get out of it, or get out of doing a job that doesn't pay well (labor hours) by saying that you violated your warranty and they don't have to fix it.
