Default Hooker LT guy's

For those of you that have installed some Hooker LT's, I've read that you have to either grind part of the block down, or unbolt the steering assembly. I'm wondering if you think they would go in without doing either of those, if done while the heads are off?

i'm in the middle of this install now. i was just going to unbolt the steering shaft, but i'm thinking of just grinding down the block. the tab is on the block right? if not, i think you wouldn't have to worry about it with the heads off. tell us what happens.

I am curious how you go about getting the car far enough off the ground to slide the hooker LTs in. I got half way through the install a few months ago, had stock manifolds and such off, but could not get the car high enough to get the hookers in. Any advice?

I just received my Hookers today from Jet Hot. There were no instructions included with the headers. I would like to know what needs to come off for the install and what sequence. Do the coil packs, etc. need to come off?

well, on the driver's side i dont' have to remove the coil packs. but on the pass. side, i'm gonna just to get some more clearance for my hands.

so there was no instructions? did you find all the packets in the box? i had stuff for the header bolts as well as for the header gaskets.

i put a set of hooker longtubes on my friends 02 z28. we put it on a lift and did everything from under the car. it was pretty easy, but we put prothane motor mounts on at the same time. its a lot easier to slip the headers in when the motor mounts and starter are out. i am going to start puting mine on today!
