Side Exit Exhaust?

Side Exit Exhaust? Hey guys...what do you think of this. This summer I want to get a set of Hooker LTs and then dump them out the side (like the stingrays and some of the new mustang). Do you think I would need a muffler? What kind would I use? Anyone have any pics?

Re: Side Exit Exhaust? I have side exit exhaust on my truck and it's loud. On long trips and if it was a daily driver it gets very old. If I were you I'd put quieter mufflers than dynomax bullets, but then you'll probably run into space problems.
Overall, I wouldn't do it on and F-body.

I have mine over the axles now, but if I could find a quieter muffler, than the bullets, I would dump them out the side.
What I would do is oval pipe, no more than 2" thick (but flow eq. to 3") to the spin tech mufflers, then to oval pipe out the side, tucked up real nice, ala NASCAR. Or look like the TA race cars. Should be light, flow like a ****, and quest. Did I mention the electronic cutouts? <img border="0" alt="[pimp]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_pimp.gif" />
