The best way to tell is to hook a scanner up & see how much idle the PCM wants & compare that to what it actully is.I wouldn't sweat it.

Re: Idle problems with my buddies 99 Firehawk You also need to take into account that the factory tachs aren't the most accurate. My '98 T/A's tach was 200 RPM off!

Re: Idle problems with my buddies 99 Firehawk My tach is accurate at idle but it is off by at least 400 rpm by 5500 rpm. I believe this is intentional to try and keep the redline racing warriors from hitting limiter constantly. My stock idle was 800rpm with m6 on a 01 Z28.

Idle problems with my buddies 99 Firehawk I was riding with my friend Jeff in his 99 Firehawk when sitting at a light I noticed it idled at 1000rpm. That cant be right, mine idled I think at 850 when it was new. What is stock idle for a LS1?
