Default ..finally decided on this h/c combo

i spent a lot of time reading and discussing about the various h/c combos and since i've finally made my choice, i thought i'd throw it out.
Lingenfelter heads w/MMS' 224/114lsa cam. my car already has bassani headers, slp airlid, orp, and GMS MAF. the car feels good but now it's time to really hook it up! i considered MMS' heads for a while but i have mixed feelings about hand porting and no flow numbers to go with the work. for some reason i'm sold on Lingenfelter. it was close btwn them and GTP, who was a bit on the pricy side. i hope to put down 420 rwhp with custom tuning and MAFT. '01 SS/M6. thanks for all input.

Did you also price the heads directly from CNC? Last time I heard, Lingenfelter's heads are just CNC's with their name on it.

listen to Trevor, Lingenfelter is a very expensive name. Just get the heads from CNC

The past few run of the mill "stage 2" MMS heads/cam cars have all put out 400rwhp (a4 unlocked), or 420+rwhp (M6). I'd get everything from the same local place.

LPE is expensive.

Total Engine Airflow also has in house CNC heads. Their heads are top notch and have a great price tag on them.

If you have any other questions about my heads, send me an email. I looked around for a while myself and have been in your shoes.

I would NOT go LPE. Many higher flowing and less expensive alternatives out there.
cheers,
Chris

I don't mean to bash LPE he is obviously a very competent and well respected engine builder.
However; I personally witnessed a fellow who had a 99 Z28 and put on an LPE heads/cam pkg and only gained 15rwhp. No joke.

Call Total Engine Airflow much more for a lot less. Ask some of the mustang racers about them.

We have 6 cars in our area running TEA h/c combos and all are at or over 400rwhp.
