for half the money i LOVE my hooker catback! and the sound with offroad FLP's is great too! i had a Wide Open borla prior to the hooker and it sounded like crap compared to this!! I say Hooker I love mine and dont plan on changing again! Not to mention i dont think i lost any power over a Wide Open Borla....but just incase i did i have a cutout sitting on my dresser

I can help a little on this subject since I have FLP's with Borla, and my girlfriend has FLP's with Corsa. Overall the Corsa is quieter cats or no cats. I like the sound of the Corsa better with cats and the Borla better with no cats. I think as well as most of my frends think the Corsa sounds bad with no cats. My choice would be the Borla over the Corsa. In fact I think the best would be the Borla with Corsa tips.

I bought a DMH E-Borla electric plate and put it in today. Fully closed it's very quiet, and open it's loud as hell. Just flick the switch. With any other system you will have to weld in a cutout to use an electric plate. That's the main reason I got a Borla. It will be a very nice feature when I get my Hookers and orp in.

I haven't heard a corsca system yet, but I don't like the Borla system, sounds way too raspy when you have headers and "open" exhaust...I just got a SLP dual-dual put back on the car and it sounds amazing...

I don't want to spend that much money on my car just so the cat-back will sound good.

RGVelite,

I've got the FLP LT's/ORP's and a Flowmaster 3" collector with a 18" bullet to quiet the raspiness thru a Corsa. Borla's don't even get close to this sound, the Corsa has a real deep rich tone at idle and will wake the dead at WOT. The only draw back to the FLP LT system is the "Y" pipe, it steps down right after the "Y" causing a flow restriction which is the reason for the Flowmaster 3" collector. Your correct on the expense point, they aren't cheap.

i had a Borla and I liked the sound overall, but it does get a little raspy at times..corsa is a bit more refined...but both are very pricey!..check out the new "gale Banks" stainless system..I just replaced the Borla with it,and i could not be more pleased with it...excellent sound at cruise, and "move out of my way " under full acelleration...and ,for a retail price of about $500...it is a no brainer...a bonus!...from the muffler back, the system is fully polished...
