Default header gasket Q.....

Hooker included a paper gasket for their headers. should I use that or should get some new GM metal gaskets?

Do not use the Hooker gaskets. When I first installed Hooker shorties on my car I could always here this strange noise coming from the engine. There was some kind of leak. I unbolted the headers and put the stock gaskets back on and this took care of the problem.

Use the GM multilayer ones.

I reused my stock ones when I put my headers on at 25,000 miles.

You can reuse your stock ones. If not.. buy the GM ones.
