Iridium Spark Plugs: Pros and Cons I'm thinking about getting Iridium plugs instead of the copper ones.
-> Do the Iridium plugs have a longer life than the copper ones? Are there any other advantages?
-> Will they cause any problems with my engine? I don't plan on running any kind of FI or Nitrous (heard they cause problems with that), will I be oK with these?

Re: Iridium Spark Plugs: Pros and Cons They are supposed to last a lot longer than the regular NGK copper plugs, such as the TR-55.
They are also supposed to have less voltage requirement to produce the same amount of spark as the copper ones.
Supposed to have a wider heat range.
I'm going to try them next time i change the plugs.

Re: Iridium Spark Plugs: Pros and Cons How much longer do they last? I might be able to justify spending the $8 apiece if they last for like, 70-100K miles.
They don't cause detonation on NA motors, do they?
