Default 3" or 3.5" for 475rwhp blower car

I will soon add heads/cam/ls6 intake to the mix and at that point I have to assume my stock 2.75" exhaust dumping into my 2.5" inlet supertrapps will become a restriction. I am trying to figure out whether it's worth the hassle to move to a 3.5" system from the Y pipe back or just go with 3". I have MAC's with different brand hi-flow cats btw. I want the impossible of course. Nice high flow but I want it as quiet as possible. Loud exhaust is not my thing anymore and my current setup is begining to annoy me. If I stay 3" it's a no brainer to go dual dual it seems, but I am willing to have a bit more noise and go with a 3.5" dynomax ultraflow welded if it is indeed fairly quiet and will significantly outflow a 3" system.

What do you guys/gals think? Please post other options you know of for high flow / low noise and whether or not you feel it's necessary to move to 3.5" or just go 3"

Thanks!
