Power difference between equal length and longtube headers.....?

Power difference between equal length and longtube headers.....? Keeping everything else constant, how big of a difference are the longtubes over say Mac equal length?
I am asking because i might have come across a really good deal on a set of used macs, but want to know if its worth it to get the lt's.

Re: Power difference between equal length and longtube headers.....? GET THE MACS! You're going to spend a LOT less money on the used Macs compared to a new LT setup, and they make great power. Don't get me wrong; I LOVE my FLP's and don't regret one bit getting them. However, you have a chance to pick up a used set of Macs that will make excellent power. You won't have to worry with LT's until you start getting really serious with your setup (added cubes). Even for a heads/cam setup, the Macs make excellent power. You'll see very little difference between them and LT's power-wise.

Re: Power difference between equal length and longtube headers.....? Go with the MACs. They aren't the prettiest, they dont make the most power in the midrange, it doesn't hurt to touch up the welds in the primaries with a dremel tool, but for the money you can't beat em.
Are used MACs with the ORP still around 350?

Re: Power difference between equal length and longtube headers.....? Thats just a figure out of memory, I haven't seen many used ones for sale lately, but I haven't been looking either. All MACs come with a factory coating, its no Jet-Hot but then its better than nothing I guess. I've seen used ones from like 275 that needed some work all the way up to 500 with the catalytic Y pipe, Flowmaster collector, and Jet Hot coating.
