Ls1 engine weight I've read that the LS1 with auto flywheel and accessories is 457# and 465# with std flywheel. Does anybody know what the same configuration weighs in a 350 iron block/heads?

Re: Ls1 engine weight I found this site Engine Weights It shows the cast iron SBC at: Chevy small block V8 575(generic for '60s-'70s motors). After I posted my question, I got to digging around in my stack of reference crap and found a printed copy of this page. If anyone has any more accurate info, please post it.

Re: Ls1 engine weight I know they did save 60# by going with an aluminum block, but I wasn't sure of the complete package. Actually, I'm still not sure as I don't know what is on the engine at a quoted weight.
