Used the search button and nothing really came up... So i ask is the K&N FIPK really worth the extra money over a regular lid?

no. A lid will work very well. And if you ever decide to take the baffels out your filter would get wet with the FIPK. You would be better off buying something else with the money left over from a lid.

Save yourself the $200+ and buy a lid. They will both show similar gains and the only difference is appearance.

Well i bought a MTI Clear lid was 200 cheaper and looks a hell of alot cooler!!!

for the same price or less you can get a lid an a REAL cai kit like the ssra....which will also be worth a few more hp.

I got a FIPK and I kinda regret it. It draws in the hot air from the engine compartment instead of from the bottom of the car like was intended by GM... Get a Lid
