aaarrrgggg! It just doesn't feel the same
It's almost like i'm back to stock.
Ever since i put the mufflers on, it's been a dog. I know that a little BP wouldn't cause such a drastic loss of power.. (59 rwhp to be exact) I might have gotten a little back since the o2 is fixed.. but damn, it's not 59 rw back.
I'm about ready to say screw it and put a 502 BBC with a blower on this biotch and put my LS1 in a sleeper (that weighs 2500lbs)
Trouble is i've spent close to 6k this past month.. and buying a new engine isn't an option at the present moment.
any thoughts, ideas, am i just mad/delerious.
anyone???
That's what my car ran last time at the track was 12.3 @ 110 i have not ran the TNT kit at the track yet.. as the first time i ran it i blew the rear end (posi went waaay south)
But that does seem to be my common denominator...
right when i put my side pipes on (dynomax glass packs) is when i really noticed the loss. It does sound really good.. and much more quiet.. but i want my power back <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />
Is there any way to hollow those puppies out ??

and some are punched OUT like this:

Needless to say, if you get the ones that are punched in, you loose power. If you install them backwards, you loose even more power.
FYI, on my Nova, I went 12.70's with glasspacks, 12.30's with the Flowmaster kit. Just a thought...
