Default Possible vacuum leak source found..intake manifold.

My car has seemed kind of slow lately and not sure if this was part of it but when I checked my ls6 intake manifold bolts they were all very loose. Not sure if you are supposed to use loctite on them or maybe just go back over and retorque them after a few miles..I put it on last fall and maybe put 1000 miles on it since then.I am not really sure what my vacuum should be with my new b1..it was around 18 stock I think and is now around 14incheshg at idle..does this seem about right?? So anyway think you guys should check your intake manifold bolts..

Yes, the manual calls for locktite and yes, the plastic intake with expand and shrink a tad and the bolts may appear to loose torque (mine did this last time).

For the idle vaccum, your car sounds right on with my hammer cam.

A cam swap to a different cam will change vaccum. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
