SLP vs. FLP
SLP LT downs: non-removable cats, non-coated y-pipe.
FLP LT ups: removable cats, coated y-pipe
FLP LT downs: 2.5" y-pipe
What hp/tq gains have you gotten from your personal setups. Any regrets for getting one and not getting the other? They are basically the same price so now all I have to do is choose one. So I guess the question I'm trying to ask is which one is better?
My car---2000 Z28 M6 w/ minor mods: Borla, Whisper lid, Hurst shifter, SLP ram air kit
dont get too excited about the coating on the Y-pipe though it will be a nice rustic orange color before you know it

Since I already have the SLP's, though, I haven't seen enough hard evidence that the FLP's are all THAT superior to make me want to sell my current headers.
WHAT I THOUGHT THAT FLP's HAD A 3 INCH Y PIPE!!! ORDERED MINE ALREADY. WILL THAT MATTER?!!!

No, it has a 2.5" y-pipe. A 3" y really isn't needed until you get into the 400+ RWHP range.
low.. if you lower more than 1 inch then go
with flp's
The gains are great and complement my hotcam very

I have had my SLP's since December 2000. No rust. The Y-pipe is like new. Does it hang low, yes. Do I care No. I have learned to drive the car, not smash it up.
Do the FLP since smack the floor boards?
Install time is all depends on the skill of the installer.
With a couple of other mods, I saw a 1.2 second drop in the 1/4 with my SLP LT.
Last time I saw a SLP LT GP you can get them for about $800. FLP's aren't they still around $1500?
Good luck in your decision.

The cats seem to flow VERY well, not to mention they are 3 inch cats... I get consistent lean codes in the rear O2s though since the install, however I am aiming the problem at the O2 sensors and not the headers...

wouldn't O2 simms take care of this problem ??
