stock ignition wires worth a damn?

stock ignition wires worth a damn? thinking of changing my plugs on the LS6 to some NGK TR55's this weekend.
I'm contemplating some ignition wires as well (holley?, Magnecor?, or other) while I'm in there. The car only has 3400 miles, but it's my understanding the stock wires are only 7mm.
Worth the money on the plug wires to go to 8mm or 8.5mm? Any particular brand?
Car's probably going to stay NA for awhile.
