accessory belt came off?

Default accessory belt came off?

Just got off the dyno today, 4 hours of hard runs and When I got home I decided to take it for a blast and the first run on nitrous the belt came off. The belt is new and has been on the car for a month and a half with no prior problems. Can anyone help or suggest something to look for? Everything looks straight and aligned.

Does the tensioner feel tight? If you put the belt on does it feel slack?

There are so many belt sizes that look very similar only about 10mm different between them, that 10mm can make all the difference to coming off or not.

Do you have an underdrive pulley?

Mine had walked off about 2 ribs one time. I think it has something to do with the high rpms and the sudden deceleration of the motor.

Sounds like you need a tensioner pulley with taller sides or the Katech tensioner (comes with the better pulley). Check 'em out. ---->

A new tensioner and pulley will fix that.

How many miles are on the car? Mine has 110,000. I was about to buy a Katech but another stock pulley worked for me. Hasn't walked at all since the swap. Don't tell my girlfriend though......it came off of her 01 WS6.
