Default Got my cutout!

Finally got the cutout. My exhaust guy welded it in for $40....best $40 I ever spent!

The thing sounds so mean. When I am just driving around its cool but if I stomp it...HOLY ****!!!! Sounds so god damn ignorant! I love it!

pics:

Sound clips to come as soon as I have time!

I been told that electric ones arent worth the money, thats why im getting the manual labor one. They run through gears fast.

2 things.

1. That is the best place for a cutout. Good job!
2. Electric cut-outs are a waste. You will leave a cut-out open 98% of the time if you have one anyway. And the reason electrics are a waste is because you will play with them till you break them, and then have to pay to replace the motor or just throw it in the trash.

DMH E-Cutout, 4 year warranty, you can play with it all you want. I like the e-cutout, my car is a daily driver and I drive to and from customers offices all day, it freaks them out if they are outside and I come rolling up with it open. I road around for a couple weeks without the e-cutout in place, just the cutout itself welded in and it drove me crazy. I had a headache one day and it pissed me off everytime I had to drive the car when it was that loud. DMH e-cutout 4tw.

Also get a new exhaust guy, I hope thats your stock exhaust that he just butchered.

hmmmm, I got my cutout last week and thought it would be louder. Is there anything that would cause the sound not to be as loud as it should, maybe like a bad welding job? I have stock headers and Y.

Mine was not that loud either with stock exhaust. Now when I had my ORY and headers installed thats a different story.

Yeah mine wasnt too loud with stock manifolds, at idle i could barley tell the difference.

But I think an electric cutout is well worth the money, had a dmh for almost 1 year so they dont burn up fast. and if i had my cutout open all the time i would have so many tickets.

I am very happy I went with an electric cutout...whenever I see a cop...hold the switch and stealth mode...it serves its purpose.

Got the manual one, and could DEF. tell the difference once it was installed. I'm on stock manifolds and Y also.

The only problem is that whenever my guy installed them, my exhaust tips now hang really low and its annoying as f*ck.

Ahh but not if you get one from Race Ready Performance, check their website. Lifetime warranty on cutout and motor, yes it is more money than normal, but then again, you never have to worry about paying for another one.

But the point was it is a beating to mess with. Warranty means nothing for this particular part. It is more of a pain to get under the car, take it off, send it in, and wait.

As opposed to getting under the car everytime you want to close/open it? I'm sorry but I don't understand your logic. I have the borla so even if I do have to send it off, I have a plate to put over the cutout until it comes back because the borla has the adjustable plates(block off plate too)
