Default Self Install or Not?

Would you recommend tackling a ASP underdrive install by myself or leave it to a pro? I have decent tool sense but I'm hearing pully is linked to the cam, so I don't want to mess anything up.

By the way just stock monsoon system on my 2002 WS6

Pulley goes on the crank snout, the only link to the cam it has is the crank. Its an easy swap with the right tools, get a Chrysler style puller (not the one they have for GM) and pull the stocker off while having the new one in the oven say 210* (this will heat it up and expand it slightly to make it fit better over a cold crank snout), put a piece of wood over the new one as your putting it on and tap it down flush, make sure the belts line up good and you're off.

i would advise doing it if your going to be doing someother engine work....otherwise thats alot to do for the output

Easy install if you have the tools. You obviously need a puller. If you can get your hands on an impact gun, then that is the easiest to break the bolt loose on the pulley. If not, get a big a** breaker bar to do the trick.

Other than that, if you can turn a wrench, you can change the pulley.

do it yourself but recommend waiting and swapping it out until your swapping out your timing chain, oil pump or cam

Thanks guys, I think I'm gonna give it a shot, sounds like the biggest challenge is the bolt loosening.

By the way who has the best replacement serpentine belt and belt #
