maybe a blown gasket?

Default maybe a blown gasket?

So i just put my pace setters in and i was drivingh around today and i revved it up and it sounded like there was a tornado under my car.... could that be a blown gasket or just the mufflers
im running pacesetter long tubes to 18" bullets then dumps...

wut are all your opinions

yes lol

i know one of the air tubes is leaking... my friend broke a bolt putting them on but im having that turned off next week

Look for black stains around the header flange that would be where its leaking. If thats the case you know what to do.

If you used the Pacesetter gaskets, then that's probably the problem. I've blown them out within 5 minutes of running the car. Get you a set of OEM metal gaskets part # 12558573. They last a lot longer and provide a better seal.

PLus, remember.....when you use the Pacesetter LT's....you will get the "valve tick" or "flutter" sound because of their design.

it kinda sounds like a blow off valve... or a waste gate, kinda in the middle.... and its only when im de acceling i just went and drove it for a little and its only when im slowing down.

im going to take my car to get tuned and i might jsut have them throw new plugs and wires and gaskets in anyway

My install was hell but it worth it, change them gaskets put in some felpro's or the OEM's an be done with it. Trust me the ride is a whole lot better when you dont have to hear them leaks! While your in there check you AIR tubed where they conect to the header make sure those arent leaking cause them gaskets suck too. OEM's are like $5 for 2. If you can the tube on the passenger side that you have to use the block off plate for check that good as well. Mine kept leaking no matter what I tried so I had to cut it off an weld over it.

An keep in mind after a header install your car will make all sorts of different sounds. For those AIR gaskets turn the car on an stick your hand by them if you feel air you got a leak!

i know that my drivers air is leaking, im about to have the system turned off and the whole thing welded shut... im also going to see if they can weld shut my egr and air... im jsut more worried about a blown header gasket as i dont want to pull them off and go through all that bullshit again

Sorry bud if its leakin you have got to change them gaskets, you could run into more problems if not. So grab a few beers an put them new gaskets on.

i just drove the car home from school and no noise anymore maybe it was just being retarded for a second?

i also forgot to reset the pcm so im about to go start that right now

anyone wanna let me know what fuse to pull? the search isnt working
