crank pulley bolt
crank pulley bolt I put on a new crank pulley and chased it down with the bolt...yes I know, I've already heard it, don't chase the pulley with the bolt!
Now I can't get the old bolt out, not even a thread. So should I just leave that thing in there and not risk breaking it? I don't even want to think of what a pita it would be if I broke that thing. What is the reason to use a new bolt? And would it be suicidal if I left that old bolt in there?
I already broke the step down on my breaker bar, it's that tight.

The reason to use a new bolt is that the bolts expand or stretch when you put them in. You could try to heat the bolt with a torch and then use an impact wrench or the breaker bar again. But like I said, it's probably safe to leave it.
You already commited a delayed suicide by using a stock bolt to put the pulley on with. Leave it and deal with it the next time you have to remove the pulley. Then you will want to kill yourself because you screwed up the crank threads.
