honing noise

honing noise my buddy just built his LS1 FAST 90/90, new heads,cam, etc. he virtually built the whole top end of the engine...
question is when we fired it up for the 1st time last night it started and everything fine, we broke in the cam at 2300 RPms for half an hour and then killed it, had a beer etc.
about 10 minutes later we fired it up again just to hear it lope and everything and we heard kind of like a honing noise coming from the intake, couldnt hear it at first b/c the engine was so loud, but as it was idling we could hear it really easily...does anyone have any idea what might be going on?
