Default pacesetters or hooker?

i just recently bought my WS6. i want some headers for it, but not sure what the best ones are...was wanting some advice. i have a guy that said he would sell me a pair of pacesetter lt's for $250. he said that they came from a wrecked ta. is this a good price for used ones, and are they the best?

that is a pretty good price man-they go for just under $400-i have pacesetter and no probs. thats the way i would go

both are good so what ever you get for cheap is the best.

well how good is it to use used headers? will they be just as good as new? who has the best performance in headers for the LS1?

-not just limited to the 2 brands listed-

also...is ceramic coated really all that good. i was wanting to wrap them in the insulation tape anyways, so would it be just as good to buy the black painted ones and wrap them in that as opposed to buying the coated ones?

I would stay away from header wrap. On the street it will trap moisture and cause them to rust out. Pacesetters are a really good choice. If they are newer I would really consider the used ones. All choices are good options, the stepped designs like the American Racing and Edelbrocks (I believe) will give you slightly better power under the curve.
