Shooping for Cat-Back

I just got a 2000 Z28 and I am in the market for a damn good sounding exhaust. Borla souds real good but way to pricy, anyone out there have any pointers on a system?

gmmg. sounds good less then borla, flows good. magnaflow. loud mouth is good with stock manifolds.

the only ones i would consider are

GMMG ($700 +150 for tips and shipping, ouch.. and its stainless)
Magnaflow ($450 or less, and its stainless)
Texas-Speed & performance, TSP Rumbler (choose your muffler, $225.. looks just like the SLP loud mouth)
Hooker ($350.. tips are ugly)
SLP Dual Dual.. or SLP loud mouth (stainless $425+)

dont get flowmaster..

or you can go the custom route..

Just get the magnaflow can't go wrong. basically they are all the same minus the mufflers so just steer away from the flowmaster and pick your own tips and you can't go wrong.

BTW I am running 650 rwhp through a 3" in dual 2.5 out magnaflow muffler with custom tips and an QTEC electric cutout before the muffler fwiw. MAGNAFLOW is the best PERIOD.

The goal was for something decent to pop up when someone did a search for hooker. I might just write a review for everything that I have that doesnt already have a review. Man, if only the dyno a mile from my home didnt close up. I could really make some better points if I had some numbers. Thats why I had to borrow numbers. But, like it says, I'm happy with it.

I've got 3" offthe collectors, no cats, merged into a 3" back to a Magnaflow.

Sounds great driving around casually, and pure evil when I get on it.
